Whilst completing my master's degree at Cardiff University I was a contributing writer for Alt.Cardiff, a local news website for the Cardiff area reporting on all things offbeat. I spent time newsgathering, ensuring that the news was not being reported by major outlets in the area, and conducting interviews for the stories.

I gained experience writing news stories, profile pieces and features. I produced multimedia elements, podcast episodes and social media posts.
