Hello I'm Ashley, a Magazine Journalism Postgraduate student at Cardiff University. Through this web page you will find my portfolio along with my blog where I post about all things from new music, films or simply what I am up to. Undertaking my undergraduate degree in Journalism, Media and Sociology, also at Cardiff University, introduced me to a new side of writing and of journalism and I am excited to put the skills I have learned into practice here.  ​ Journalism and writing in particular became a passion of mine when I first interacted with the subject during my GCSE's. Over the years of my further education, I have found that magazine journalism is the area of the industry that interests me most. During my time at Cardiff I have written various article for Quench Magazine including opinion pieces and live show reviews which you will find in the 'published' section.   ​ I aim to become a music and entertainment journalist. I have always had an interest in the arts, playing guitar and piano from a young age has allowed me to appreciate the music I am writing about.
